All dates are generated from Lead Days and Job Days allocations

All dates within the master schedule (SO line required dates, job start and finish dates, PO line due dates) are generated from item Lead Days and Job Days allocations.

Allocations determine item action windows

Each item’s Lead Days plus Job Days allocations are the basis for its replenish time, which is used by MRP as the “action window” for assessing net demand to trigger job or PO generation.

All items must be given a Job Days or Lead Days allocation

The scheduling system depends on allocation settings for date generation and action window determination.  Therefore, the scheduling system only works when all M items, without exception, are given a Job Days allocation and all P items, without exception, are given a Lead Days allocation.
