The DBA Manufacturing Data Dictionary provides a reference to database tables and fields used throughout DBA Manufacturing Software. This resource is intended to assist with custom reporting, data analysis, and read-only extraction of manufacturing and accounting information.
Database Tables and Fields
The Data Dictionary documents table names and field references across major areas of the system, including:
•Inventory and stock item records
•Bills of Manufacturing (BOMs), components, and routings
•Customer and supplier records
•Sales orders, shipments, and invoices
•Manufacturing jobs and shop floor transactions
•Purchase orders and supplier invoices
•Material requirements planning (MRP)
•General ledger and accounting transactions
This reference can help technical users identify relevant database information when developing reports or extracting data for external analysis.
Reporting and Data Extraction
Before developing custom reports, we recommend exploring the built-in DBA Data Views and Analysis Screens.
For additional reporting requirements, DBA data may be extracted into external databases, spreadsheets, or reporting applications. ODBC drivers are available through the DBA support portal for read-only data extraction.
Important Database Restrictions
All external access to the DBA Manufacturing database must be read-only.
The DBA database uses automatic triggers, stored procedures, unique record identifiers, and relationships that are maintained by the application.
Directly inserting, updating, or deleting records through external applications, SQL queries, scripts, or utilities is prohibited and can compromise database integrity.
All data imports must be performed using the standard DBA Manufacturing data import tools.
Custom reporting and external applications must not modify DBA database records or database structures. Please review the complete database rules and restrictions in the Data Dictionary before accessing database information.
Who Is This Reference For?
The Data Dictionary is intended for IT administrators, database reporting specialists, software developers, system integrators, and anyone responsible for developing read-only reports or extracting information from DBA Manufacturing Software.
