In this task you will enter your company-level Email settings.

Email Setup Overview

1.Setup SMTP settings for the company (Admin > Main Setup > Email tab)

Get SMTP Server and Port settings from your email service provider

2.Establish Email Domain Authentication Policies to improve delivery and security

3.Setup email settings for each DBA User (Admin > User Setup > Email tab)

Most companies choose a single email sign in address and password for all users

Optionally set up individual email addresses/passwords for each DBA User (legacy feature)

If you setup a different user email address than your company email address, both should use the same authenticated domain

4.  Temporarily Activate Email Logging to Test System

To test the email sending system you can temporarily activate email logging.   This will provide a log of the email activity with each email sent.   This logging tool can be an invaluable resource when test new settings or to help troubleshoot errors.

5.  Modify Email Templates (Admin > Main Setup > Email Templates tab)

You can modify the Message, Subject, and BCC fields for emails sent from DBA (Invoice, Quote, Acknowledgement, Purchase Order, Customer, and Supplier).
